Though Feng Shui cannot directly give you wealth and money, if you use it properly you can attract wealth to you.  Feng Shui for wealth only works if you yourself are striving for wealth and are productive in attaining it.  Essentially, Feng Shui can help to boost the efforts you are already making to achieve wealth and abundance.  This is done through various Feng Shui methods that involve different areas of the home and life.

There are many crystals and minerals that, according to Feng Shui principles, can attract things like wealth, prosperity, and abundance.  Some crystals are better at attracting wealth than others.  Citrine has a very strong attraction to wealth, so keep it near the area you work in.  Having it in your range of vision is particularly desirable.  Every Feng Shui crystal has a different purpose, whether it be to attract something you want or to protect you from things that are negative.  Generally speaking, most Feng Shui crystals enhance the positive Chi, or energy, around you.  Positive energy makes for a positive mind, and positive minds are more productive than negative ones.  Productivity easily leads to prosperity.

Keeping your workplace as clutter free as possible is a must.  When there is clutter Chi cannot properly flow through the workspace.  This is undesirable because the flow of Chi is very important in attracting wealth to yourself and your work.  Be sure your desk drawers and filing systems are also clutter free.  Hidden clutter is just as bad as clutter that is clearly seen around you.  If you work outside of the home, be sure your home is clutter-free as well.  When you wake up to clutter in the home it starts off your day with negative energy.  This negative energy is easily carried with you the rest of the day, even when you go to another location such as work.

If there are certain things you associate with wealth and abundance, be sure to display those things around you.  Not only is it good Feng Shui to have pictures that motivate you, it also motivates you to succeed in general.  For example, if you want to own a luxury home and car because of the wealth you have earned, put a picture of both of those things on your desk.  Seeing these images will instantly put the idea of wealth in your mind, which will create positive Chi.  With this happening multiple times a day, you are sure to attract wealth to you in no time.

Because the Feng Shui element Water is a symbol of abundance, it is important to incorporate this into your workspace.  If you have a small space, try something small like a Beta fish with a floating plant.  The oxygen and water combined will attract abundance to you, thus attracting wealth.  If you are lucky enough to have a large office space, a large standing fountain is a great way to bring the Feng Shui element of water into your space.  If you do not have room for a standing fountain, a tabletop one gives the same affect.

• Cleanliness:  Cleanliness is one of the most important steps to effectively Feng Shui a space.  The saying “Cleanliness is next to Godliness”  definitely rings true here!  The belief behind this is that clutter and dirt do not allow the positive Chi to flow freely.  When this happens, the Chi becomes negative, exactly the thing you are trying to counteract with the Feng Shui principles.  This is especially true for windows because a dirty window makes the light “fight” to come in.  That “struggle” creates negative energy, or Chi.

• Entryways:  The entryway of a space is very important to the overall Feng Shui energy of the place.  The entryway is considered the true entrance of all outside influences, such as negative Chi, harm, and even good.  Without proper protection, the entryway can be the portal of bad intentions and harm, all directed toward the inhabitants of the building.  To protect the ones you love, you can place the Ba Gua above your door.  This instrument will deflect the negative energy that could potentially seep through the entrance. Ba Guas above the door should be the flat version.

• Outside:  Most people don’t associate Feng Shui with anything other than the inside of a space.  However, the landscape and what is in the yard of a space can affect the Chi of a location.  One of the first things that should be done outside is the trimming of all overgrown and dead plants.  This will remove clutter, thus giving the positive Chi a space to flow through easily.  Dead plants and trees should be removed and then replaced.  The new life will bring harmony to the outside space.  Where walkways are concerned, it is good to line them with plants, especially flowers.  Red is a lucky color in Chinese beliefs, so try a flower with red blooms.  Be sure there are an even number of plants on both sides, preferably done in threes.

• Elements:  When you are applying Feng Shui to a space, it is vital to keep in mind the five Feng Shui elements.  These elements (Water, Earth, Fire, Wood, and Metal) must have a healthy balance in the space to keep the harmony.  Each element represents different areas of our lives, and each element shines more based on the room it is in.  Be sure to find many items that represent each of the elements when you are shopping for your Feng Shui items.

Feng Shui in the office is perhaps one of the most natural ways to stay sane during a busy work week.  Feng Shui attracts positive energy, making it a good way to help stay relaxed and stress free.  If you work in an office environment you know how hard it can be to relax at work.  This is where Feng Shui can come in to help you stay focused and feel better.  If you have a very small space, you may think it is impossible to Feng Shui your office space.  However, no matter what the size of your space is you can make an impact through Feng Shui.

There are some things that can be done in an office of any size.  For example, most people can control which direction their furniture faces in their office space.  It is good Feng Shui to have the chair you use be backed by a wall or corner.  This symbolizes support, not only for the back but also for ideas.  Also, no matter the size of your office, you should place your computer in the Northern or Western most area of your space.  This will enhance creativity, making work more productive and affluent.

As with all other Feng Shui spaces, it is important to remove all clutter from the space.  Offices are notorious for becoming filled with clutter, so this is an easy place to start for anyone.  Removing clutter will enhance the ability for positive Chi to flow through the office.  Computer and electronic cords should be out of sight and well organized.  Keep your files organized and clutter free as a form of respect.  Files are symbolic of your past, present, and even future business.

To increase the positive energy in your office space, introduce the Feng Shui element of water into the space.  If you have room for an aquarium, place one in the North or East area of the office.  This could be a standing aquarium or even a small desk top fish bowl.  If you do not want the commitment of keeping a pet, you can still bring the element in.  You can also use a fountain, either free standing or tabletop, and it will have the same affect.

Most of us work hard to bring wealth and prosperity into our lives.  Having a metal element in your office space can help bring both of these to you.  A great way to bring in the Feng Shui element of metal is by having a small safe in your office.  This is not only great for Feng Shui, it is also a smart way to protect your belongings.  Placing the safe in the West or Northwest area of your office space will protect your finances, while also bringing more income to you.

There are few things as precious to a couple as when they are planning the conception of a child.  For some, getting pregnant comes easily to their bodies.  Others, however, may have a harder time conceiving a child.  This can happen for a number of different reasons, from medical to psychological.  Whatever the reason, if you are in this situation then you are ready to try just about anything to get pregnant.  Though you should always seek medical care in this situation, it is also a good idea to try Feng Shui to increase your fertility.

Feng Shui is believed to increase the fertility of a couple.  The good energy produced by Feng Shui can help a couple conceive a child.  Using Feng Shui principles to increase fertility is non-invasive and will not affect your body like other fertility options.  So, basically, you have nothing to lose, so why not try it? 

The first thing you can do to help increase your fertility is to apply Feng Shui principles to your bed.  The bed is where the attempts to conceive are most likely going to happen, making it a key factor.  The first thing to do is to get rid of the clutter.  Feng Shui is pretty much anti-clutter, so this is very important.  Clear all of the clutter out from under your bed.  The area beneath the bed should be a blank canvas, so to speak.  This will help the positive energy, or chi, flow freely because there will be no obstacles in its way.  The positive energy’s affect is stronger when it flows easily.  It is also believed you should not do anything to disturb the space beneath the bed.  Things such as dusting, sweeping, or vacuuming can disturb the process.

Because the West area of your home is associated with children, it is believed to have an affect on fertility.  Enhancing this area of the home will help with increasing the fertility of a couple.  Get the positive chi flowing by clearing out all clutter and junk from the rooms in the Western area.  Don’t forget to address the closet, as it is important for it to be clutter free, too.  Lighting is also important in enhancing the Western area of the home.  The lighting should be soft in the rooms and hallways.  Keep the lights bright in the bathroom, and keep all things shut, such as the door, toilet seat, and shower curtain.

As you may have noticed, the ability for chi (energy) to flow freely has a very positive affect on fertility.  This free flowing energy is created by removing clutter and blockages in the home.  An important place to be sure is unblocked is the front door.  The front door is where all of the Feng Shui energy enters the home.  Therefore, if the front door is blocked by something, the chi will also be blocked or weakened.  This is unfavorable for increasing fertility.

I am currently preparing another space in my home for Feng Shui. Because Feng Shui is a very organized practice, I like to kind of “cleanse” my space before I begin really applying Feng Shui principles. My Feng Shui cleansing ritual consists of a few different cleaning techniques and painting. The first and most important thing to do is literally cleanse the space. Doing this will give you a pure canvas to start with. Cleanliness brings good energy in Feng Shui, so that is always my first focus.

I start by laundering anything in the room that can be laundered. This includes things like blankets, sheets, pillowcases, and rugs. I will usually get the drapes or curtains dry cleaned if they are not able to be home washed. I dust all of the furniture once the room is free of all linens, rugs, etc. If there are any other elements, such as lamps or small decorative items, I dust and clean them, too. Next I clean the windows and make sure they are crystal clear. Having clean windows brings in light and that light brings positive Chi or energy. This is very important in Feng Shui.

Once all of that is done, I get ready to clean the floors. If they are hardwood floors I usually sweep them twice-over to get all of the dust and other particles off of the floor. Next I use hardwood floor cleaner to get them as clean as possible. If there is carpet in the room, I vacuum the carpet very thoroughly. Next, I steam clean the carpet to rid it of all dirt. Once it dries, the room is ready to have Feng Shui applied to it!

After I get my room as clean as possible, I choose a paint color. If you are lucky enough to have a new home with the paint color you already want on the wall, you can probably skip this step. Otherwise, this is a very important step in doing Feng Shui to a space. Depending on the location of your room and what the room is, there are different colors that are desirable in that space. However, if you want to stick with very neutral colors, you can. Good Feng Shui paint colors are generally flesh tones and neutral tones such as taupes, light browns, light greys, and creams. Some areas of the space can handle more vibrant colors such as reds and blues. This can be determined by the Feng Shui map.

Once I have my room painted and clean, I am ready to move my items back into it. The first thing to go back in is drapery and rugs. You can choose the colors of these by choosing what kind of Feng Shui energy you want in that space. Next, I hang any Feng Shui artwork I have decided to put in the room. Be sure your artwork gives you a positive feeling. Then all of the furniture is brought back into the room according to Feng Shui principles. All other finishing items, such as linens, lamps, and small decorative items are placed back into the room.
